Jack Thompson Presents: Saint of Killers

Jack Thompson Presents: Saint of Killers

Taking place five years after the events in Defamation of Character, Banman is long since gone from the world, as are Jack's days as an attorney. Disbarred for fraud and libel, Thompson, divorced, now works as a taxi driver. Having long ago left the public eye, all he wishes is to live his days in peace.

His wishes mean nothing in the face of overwhelming media violence however, as his only son is murdered by his own friend. Gone crazed with bloodlust after playing the recent Paranoia Agent videogame, the young boy turned against young Thompson with a baseball bat.

Jack Thompson exits the courtroom swearing revenge upon the video game industry whom he is convinced contributed to his son's murder. "Vengeance is mine, I will repay" he says. And boy, is Jack not kidding.

Jack is provided in his virtual reality playpen a panoply of weapons: machetes, Uzis, revolvers, shotguns, sniper rifles, Molotov cocktails, you name it.

After receving guidance from a mystic indian, Jack enters into the Forest of the Dead seeking an ancient power known only as the Saint of Killers. Jack and his indian companion brave the undead hordes lurking within the forest, eventually reviving and signing a contract with the Saint, marked by Jack's receival of Excalibur, which manifests itself to Jack in the form of an aluminum bat.

When wielded Excalibur demands life force, so Jack must kill at all times to prevent the bat from feeding on himself. After the bat has had its fill however, it is capable of summoning the Saint of Killers, whom possess Jack's body. Capable of killing on sight, the Saint provides Jack the extra power he needs to tackle his huge conglomerate enemies.

Jack immediately hops a plane from LAX to New York to reach the Long Island home of the CEO of the company (Take This) that made the murder simulator on which his son's killer trained. Jack gets "justice" by taking out this female CEO, whose name is Paula Eibel, along with her husband and kids. "An eye for an eye," says Jack, as he urinates onto the severed brain stems of the Eibel family victims.

Jack then makes his way to the law firm of Blank, Stare and goes floor by floor to wipe out the lawyers who protect Take This in its wrongful death law suits. "So sue me" Jack spits.

With the FBI now after him, Jack keeps moving, shooting up high-tech video arcades called GameWerks. "Game over," Jack laughs.

Of course, Jack makes the obligatory runs to virtual versions of brick and mortar retailers Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, and Wal-Mart to steal supplies and bludgeon store managers and cash register clerks. "You should have checked kids' IDs!"

Jack pushes on. He must get to Los Santos by May 10, 2006. That is the beginning of "E3" -- the Electronic Entertainment Expo -- the Super Bowl of the video game industry. Jack must get to E3 to massacre all the video game industry execs with one final, monstrously delicious rampage involving blocked doors and a combine harvester.
